Council

The Montague Township Council holds meetings on the first and third Tuesday of every month.  The meetings are held at the Township Office (6547 Roger Stevens Dr.) at 7:00 p.m. and are open to the public.

If you wish to make a presentation, raise an issue or voice a concern to Council, please contact the Office at 613-283-7478 by 4:00 p.m. on the Thursday prior to a Council meeting and request to be placed on the agenda as a delegation.

Bill and his wife Janet have now lived in the municipality for more than 13 years, having previously lived in southern Ontario.
Having moved to Montague for its rural appeal, they take full advantage of and thoroughly enjoy the freedoms that this affords them, particularly Bill coming from a farming family.
Bill's decision to stay in local politics is driven by the need to maintain and support quality of life at its roots.  He hopes to achieve this by continuing to apply his knowledge gained through his schooling in life.
With many years of experience in business, Bill brings with him an international and local perspective.  He is now self-employed and owns Harvest Foodworks, a manufacturer of extended life foods used extensively by expeditions, survivorists and outdoor enthusiasts. 
He believes his background to be an invaluable asset, as he applies it to his second term on Council with the Township of Montague
Both Bill and Janet continue to love this fabulous community, which was chosen with care, as they plan to retire here and hope it will be as good, if not better, for their time spent within it.
